TVET Course Gold Medal

Wednesday, Nov 2019 2:03 PM

Congratulations to Corey in Year Twelve who took out the Gold medal for the World Skills ‘VET in School’ South West Sydney Region bi-annual competition.
Each year the top VET students come together (in all VET fields) to compete. Corey had to independently work three technical equipment stations of Lighting, Vision and Audio. with each station lasting 90 minutes. He had to interpret the client information, set up all equipment, run all cables, power-up, troubleshoot issues, operate and then pack up the equipment. Marks are awarded against a long list of criteria and the student with the highest marks takes the gold medal.
The judges commented how impressed they were with Corey's general work ethic, his tidy and methodical approach to what he had to do.
