Collegian of the Year 2020

Congratulations to Mariah Saad (Class of 2017) on receiving the Collegian of the Year award for 2020.
Since graduating from Rouse Hill Anglican College as College Co-Captain, Mariah has continued her passion for charity with boundless energy and commitment. While managing a double degree at the University of Technology, Mariah works as a Paralegal Early this year Mariah organised the ‘CEO Vinnies Sleepout’ raising some $15,000 for the St Vincent de Paul Society, and a ‘Jersey Day’ event bringing together local businesses in Dural to raise awareness about organ donation. As a member of the Law Society Mariah has also been raising money to promote good mental health for students in COVID-19 learning. “I am driven by my struggles. I want to show people that no matter your past, you’re in control of your future. You’re only limited by your imagination".
Mariah plans on continuing her charitable work on a pro-bono basis for marginalised groups, and to host Australia’s biggest ever ‘CEO Sleepout’ event.
Mariah’s charity of choice for the award is Beyond Blue. Beyond Blue provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health, whatever their age and wherever they live.
